How LHH Used Executive Testimonial Videos to Make an Advisory Service Easier to Understand: A Case Study

Executive career transitions are private, complex and difficult to explain through a list of services. The people considering support want to know what the experience is actually like. Employers also need confidence that the executives they refer will receive advice suited to the seniority and circumstances of the moment.

LHH partnered with Rocket House Pictures over several years to create testimonial videos for ICEO, its executive career advisory practice. The work began with longer client stories, including a testimonial connected to Crocs, and expanded into a nationwide series of short videos featuring ICEO advisors.

Together, the films gave LHH two kinds of proof. Executives could hear from someone who had gone through the program, then meet the experienced advisors who would guide them.

The challenge: show the value of a confidential, highly personal service

ICEO supports senior executives during career transitions and other major professional decisions. LHH describes the practice as a global executive career advisory that pairs leaders with strategic guidance and an executive network.

The service is valuable because it is tailored. That same quality makes it difficult to market. A web page can describe assessments, mentoring, networking and career options, but those terms do not show how an advisor works with an individual executive or how the process changes the way a client sees the next stage of a career.

Trust was central. The audience included senior leaders accustomed to discretion and direct communication. A heavily scripted promotion could create distance. LHH needed people on camera who could describe the work with the same clarity and credibility they would bring to a private conversation.

The production challenge grew as the project expanded. The videos had to feel consistent across participants and locations while remaining natural to each speaker. Longer client stories and short social clips also required different interview structures, pacing and visual plans.

The approach: let experience explain the service

Rocket House Pictures built the videos around first-person testimony. We prepared each interview by learning the participant’s role, relationship with ICEO and the part of the program their experience could clarify.

The interviews were guided by questions instead of memorized scripts. Follow-up questions helped participants move from broad praise to useful details: the decision they faced, what the advisor helped them examine and how the process affected their next step.

That method is especially important with executives. They are often comfortable presenting information, but a testimonial needs something different from a business presentation. The viewer needs a specific account, delivered in the person’s own language.

Our testimonial video production process kept the speakers at the center while giving LHH a clear narrative and professional visual standard. The result felt appropriate for a senior executive audience without becoming formal or rehearsed.

Amazing team! Professional. Experienced. Exceptional! I cannot say enough about my experience working with Gio and his crew. --- Lisa Woolsgrove, LLH Marketing Dept.

The first format: a client story connected to Crocs

The Crocs testimonial gave prospective clients a view of ICEO through someone who had experienced the program. The film focused on career and life direction, showing that executive transition involves more than finding another position. It can include reconsidering priorities, identity and the range of options available after a senior role.

The video was designed as a focused case study. It gave the speaker time to establish context, describe the advisory experience and explain the change that followed. B-roll and considered editing kept the film visually active without distracting from the testimony.

LHH later republished quotes from the Crocs story on its own ICEO materials. That reuse is direct evidence that the finished film became part of the client’s communications library instead of remaining only on YouTube.

The second format: short advisor profiles for social media

As the partnership continued, LHH commissioned a series of concise testimonial videos in locations across the United States. These pieces introduced ICEO advisors and gave each person a short window to explain their experience, working style or reason for serving executives in transition.

This example features Mark Larsen, an ICEO advisor. The 1-minute, 45-second format is long enough to establish credibility and personality, yet brief enough for LinkedIn, email, landing pages and other digital placements.

The advisor series solved a different communications problem from the Crocs film. The longer story showed the program from a client’s perspective. The short profiles helped prospective clients see who they might work with. Together, the two formats made an intangible service more concrete.

Production across the United States

A nationwide series needs a repeatable system. Differences in location, schedule and room conditions can easily make the final collection feel disconnected.

Rocket House Pictures developed a consistent interview and production framework that could travel. Each shoot followed the same core standards for framing, lighting, sound, question development and delivery. The structure created continuity across the campaign while leaving room for each advisor’s personality.

The work included planning with LHH, coordinating executive schedules, filming in multiple U.S. markets, directing interviews and delivering short edits suited to digital use. Our full-service video production capabilities allowed one team to manage the story and technical standards from the first interview through final delivery.

That consistency mattered because LHH operates at global scale. The company currently reports a presence in 66 countries. A video series representing one part of that organization needed to feel coherent enough to sit inside a much larger brand.

The solution: a library of proof for different stages of the decision

The partnership produced a flexible collection rather than one general overview video.

The Crocs story served audiences who wanted to understand the client experience in greater depth. Advisor profiles introduced the people behind ICEO in a concise form. Short edits could be released individually, organized around particular advisors or used to support a longer explanation of the practice.

This gave LHH content for several parts of its communications:

The videos could also be viewed separately. A prospective client did not need to watch an entire campaign to learn something useful from one participant.

The impact: a single testimonial became a multi-year video partnership

Public conversion or lead-generation figures for the campaign are not available, so the case study does not assign a sales number to the videos. The documented results appear in the way LHH continued and used the work.

The relationship lasted for years and expanded from a longer client testimonial into a nationwide series of short advisor videos. LHH also distributed the Crocs film through its own ICEO account. Continued commissioning and client-side reuse are strong signs that the format met an ongoing communications need.

The business behind the videos has also remained active. LHH continues to present ICEO as its executive advisory practice, and in 2024 it expanded the offer with ICEO Executive Mentoring, connecting clients with C-suite leaders, senior executives and board members. The Adecco Group’s 2025 annual report describes LHH as a global talent-solutions business spanning career transition, leadership development and the wider professional talent journey.

Current company reporting provides additional context for the audience LHH serves. In a 2024 announcement about its career-transition platform, LHH stated that it works with more than 15,000 organizations and nearly 500,000 candidates each year through a network of thousands of colleagues and coaches across 60 countries. Those figures describe LHH as a whole, not the ICEO video campaign, but they show why a repeatable production model mattered.

We had several client testimonials ready to go but COVID-19 made traveling impossible and we needed videos done virtually. Gio and his team had a wonderful, high quality solution that worked very well. Now we use these videos for marketing campaigns and client meetings and they are very effective. --- Megan Moyer, LLH Marketing Dept.

The client response: keep building the series

There is no public LHH review of Rocket House Pictures tied to this project. The clearest client response is the work itself: LHH retained the partnership over several years, commissioned more videos in more locations and published the finished films through its own channels.

For a production relationship, that pattern says more than a general endorsement. The first project established the format. Later assignments trusted Rocket House Pictures to represent additional advisors and maintain the series across the country.

What this project shows about B2B testimonial videos

Complex services become easier to understand when viewers can hear from both sides of the experience. A client story explains what changed. An advisor profile shows who helps create that change.

The project also shows the value of planning a testimonial as a collection. One longer film can support a case-study page or presentation. Short profiles give a marketing team material to release over time. A consistent production framework allows new participants and locations to be added without rebuilding the campaign from the beginning.
